Top marks for Flair from the Practical Pre-school Awards
Flair Plc is celebrating once again after achieving top marks at this year’s Practical Pre-School Awards.
Plasticine “The ultimate classic toy” for foundation stage
The Practical Pre-school Awards’ “Classics Toys and Games” category is new for 2010 and has been introduced to recognise the staple “must haves” that all pre-schools and reception classes should not be without. After much evaluation of many products the Plasticine Activity Bucket was named the overall winner of this award receiving a score of 96% when judged.
The Plasticine Activity Bucket is just one of a whole range ofPlasticine products and comes with thirteen bumper sticks of the famous modelling compound and four fun moulds - all stored in a sturdy plastic container. When being evaluated, one tester commented: “We found the Plasticine to have a lovely texture, it was much softer and easier to manipulate than many other brands. It is something we can’t do without in our setting”
A remarkable result for Remarkables
Another great winner was in the “Toys and Games aged 3 to 5” category - The Remarkables Colour and Draw Activity Mat which received 90% and an official Gold Award. The Remarkables Colour and Draw Activity Mat provides a large surface for children to colour, doodle, stamp and draw on with washable pens, which can then be wiped clean to start again. One tester commented “This is a great product which provided hours of fun for the children whilst they explored and developed their creativity skills.”
The awards ceremony took place on Friday 24th of September after a whole summer of judging by pre-schools, schools and childcare professionals. This year over 500 products were tested including a further product from Flair, Thomas & Friends Doodleez receiving a Bronze Award in the “Toys and Games 3 to 5” category.
